We were here for you BEFORE Coronavirus.

we ARE here for you now.

We're ready to help even during the COVID19 crisis!

Whitcher Plumbing & Heating values the health and safety of our customers and employees.

We want you to know every step we are taking to keep you safe inside your home or business.

Yes! We are still performing service calls! We are continuing our services normally, but are also implementing new protocols and following safety regulations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 to our customers or employees. We are an essential business which performs critical infrastructure work and provides services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and operation of residences.

We are asking all of our customers - if you have been exposed or are experiencing signs or symptoms, please do not call for service at this time unless it is an emergency situation (no heat, no hot water, flooding, etc).

Here’s how we take care of you:

Stop the Spread of COVID-19.png

Prior to each working day, we are asking our employees to take a personal health self-assessment which includes questions:

  • Do you have a fever?

  • Do you have respiratory symptoms like cough, shortness of breath, headache, muscle aches, chills, or sore throat?

  • Have you been in possible contact with anyone who has COVID-19?

If they answer yes to any of the above, they are being asked to either self-quarantine or be tested for COVID-19. They cannot return to work until the risk has passed. Employees who appear sick will be sent home immediately. To encourage extreme caution, employees who stay home due to possible COVID-19 sickness or exposure will be paid their normal pay until they are cleared to return to work.

Likewise, we ask you as the customer to let us know if any of the above apply to you so we can assess how to best serve you safely. This may include delaying non-emergent repairs or routine maintenance.

We apologize for skipping handshakes and hugs!

All employees have been instructed to not have physical contact with customers. Employees will wear a mask when around others and maintain a 6’ distance from others whenever possible. Technicians have staggered times throughout the day to return/restock at our shop to minimize employee interaction. Our office is equipped with HVAC air sanitizers and media air cleaners to reduce possible airborn transmission. Office personal work stations are located in seperate rooms, and workers do not use other employee’s work stations or equipment.

Employees will practice frequent hand washing or use hand sanitizer and avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth. We will wear appropriate PPE equipment including masks, gloves, and shoe covers. Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer will be stocked in each service van. Items frequently used like tables, doorknobs, and phones will be regularly sanitized.

Like you, we are taking this day by day. We greatly appreciate the privilege of being your choice for plumbing, heating and cooling services. We take your health seriously and thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. We hope to continue our services as seemlessly as possible.

PLUMBING & PUBLIC HEALTH

Modern Plumbing - Roman Aqueducts.jpg

Clean water and waste removal is long cited as one of the most important inventions in the modern world. It is almost unanimously accepted as having saved more lives than anything else in the world.

Modern plumbing and sanitation are among the greatest public health achievements, and along with vaccinations, are the best innovations to control infectious disease.

Whitcher Plumbing & Heating knows how important it is to follow International Plumbing Code (IPC). The IPC establishes minimum standards to provide a reasonable level of safety, health, property protection and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, quality of materials, location, operation and maintenance or use of plumbing equipment and systems. This is why it is so important to maintain our plumbing systems with well-trained licensed and certified technicians.
